Our mission: to serve special needs children and their families and families facing difficult circumstances.  SHARE stands for SUPPORT, HOPE, ASSIST, REFLECT, and EMPOWER.   We encourage the concept of “Paying it Forward” throughout our community. We strive to provide for the families who WANT to help themselves and are willing to help others in the process.

Our Background

S.H.A.R.E. has been operating for nearly a decade giving families a boost where and when they need it.  From financial support, medical needs, housing, therapy dogs, summer camps, clothing and toys, furniture, and counseling, the foundation strives to fill the gap of a families’ urgent needs.  The foundation has three specific programs that family members can apply for: “Pay it Forward,” Tis’ the Season to S.H.A.R.E., and S.H.A.R.E it Forward.  Each program focuses on a specific family need. S.H.A.R.E. has a history of success and relies completely on volunteers and the good will and donations of the community to execute their programs. Once a year, as its principal fundraiser, the foundation sponsors the highly successful King Mackerel Tournament. Contact us For more information on how you can help.

Executive Director

Briana Knight is a mother of four and teacher, an early intervention specialist, a developmental consulting business owner and operator and a non profit Executive Director.  For over 18 years she has committed her career and her philanthropic efforts to helping others and changing lives for the better.With her company, Coastal Development Consulting, she leads a team of three developmental therapists providing early intervention services to children in five counties in North Carolina.  As Executive Director of S.H.A.R.E she has led this dynamic 501 (c) 3 non profit for nearly a decade bringing needed financial, logistical, and emotional support to the local community, especially children and families in crisis.  Mrs. Knight has a Bachelor of Arts, Education of Young Children, from the University of North Carolina and is professionally certified as a Professional Educator and Infant Toddler Family Specialist.

S.H.A.R.E. started in 2010 and assists families in the following 5 counties-Pender, Duplin, New Hanover, Brunswick, and Columbus County.
